Peggy Lee Crist Fanshaw, age 89, of Lewisburg, and formerly of Arbovale, passed away Monday, February 15, 2016, at Pocahontas Memorial Hospital in Buckeye, following a brief illness.
Born February 24, 1926, at Arbovale, she was a daughter of the late Estes and Janet Woods Crist.
Peggy was a 1944 graduate of Green Bank High School. She spent most of her life in Middle River, Maryland, and returned to Arbovale in 2000.
She will always be remembered for her kind and loving spirit.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Col. Leslie J. Fanshaw, United States Army; two brothers, Gene A. Crist and Jerry O. Crist; and a sister, Irene C. Edwards.
She is survived by her daughter, Cassandra L. Fanshaw, of Lewisburg; a sister, June Jonese, of Arbovale; a brother, Harold Crist, of Arbovale; and many nieces and nephews.
