Oliver H. Tacy, age 88, of Bowling Green, Virginia, died Friday, December 20, 2013, at Mary Washington Hospital.
Oliver was born in West Virginia. He had retired from the United States Army and then worked as a civil servant at Ft. A.P. Hill. He was a faithful member of the Ambassador Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Anna Tacy; and a son, Donald Tacy.
He is survived by his children, Janice Fogle, and husband, Butch, Patricia Carter, and husband, Mike, Thomas Tacy, and wife, Lolita, Wanda Tobin, and husband, Joe, and Douglas Tacy; eight grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Funeral service is Thursday, December 26, 2 p.m. at the Ambassador Baptist Church, Woodford, Virginia, with Pastor Mike McGee officiating. Interment will be in Greenlawn Cemetery. Family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
