On Saturday, July 12, members of the Marlinton High School Class of 1954 gathered at the Pocahontas Community Wellness Center in Marlinton to celebrate their 60th class reunion.

Classmates were greeted with the Marlinton High School Fight Song, then enjoyed sweet rolls and coffee. They found their seats by the place cards that were their graduation announcement cards of 60 years ago, which had been kept by a classmate. The photographer arrived for picture taking.

After a delicious catered luncheon, classmates were entertained by 1954 trivia and found they were still pretty smart; getting most of the answers right. An orange and black necklace, made by one of the classmates, was auctioned off. After a lot of bidding our reunion kitty was greatly increased.

The 60th reunion concluded with an orange and black balloon release. As we watched our balloons go out of sight, it was agreed to meet the Saturday of Pioneer Days 2016 for a luncheon at Locust Hill Pub.
