Mary Ella Cook, age 81, of Marlinton, passed away Monday, May 12, 2014, at her home with her family by her side.
Born August 8, 1932, at Roar, she was a daughter of the late William E. and Ada Pauline Doss Jackson.
Mary attended Methodist and Baptist churches in Marlinton and was a desk clerk for the Marlinton Motor Inn.
In additon to her parents, she was preceded in death by three sisters, Nellie Bently, Betty Miller and Joyce Thomas; and a brother, James Jackson.
She is survived by two daughters, Paula Carlevaro, of Ocean City, Maryland, and Leona Wasson, of Pottstown, Pennsylvania; three sons, Donnie Skaggs, of Baltimore, Maryland, Steven Dale Skaggs, of Marlinton, and Patrick Pyne, of Linfield, Pennsylvania; a sister, Bonnie Black, of Warner Robbins, Georgia; three brothers, David Jackson, of Elkins, Clyde Jackson, of Augusta, Georgia, and Richard Jackson, of Red Line, Pennsylvania; 11 grandchildren; and 26 great-grandchildren.
Visitation is Saturday, May 17, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Lantz Funeral Home in Buckeye. Per her request, the body will be cremated.
