Born January 11, 1931, in Hillsboro, she was a daughter of the late George and Nellie Suttle Simmons.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Forest Jake Beverage; four brothers, Elmer, William, Calvin and Marion; and a sister, Dora Lee.

She is survived by her daughter, Shirley Walker, and husband, Curtis, of Hillsboro; a grandson, Jamie Walker, and wife, Debbie, of Marlinton; a granddaughter, Marcy Price, and husband, Scott, of Boiling Springs, South Carolina; and four great-grandchildren, Brady, Keely, Addie and Wylie Price.
