The Good News: It took nearly three years, but beginning July 1, Marlinton water, sewer and garbage bills will go out on a monthly basis. Home Rule was implemented as of July 1.
The Bad News: The trash truck is still in the shop. I hope to have it back before you read this. In the meantime, I have been looking for a class 6 or 7 truck – with a gasoline engine – for a replacement. It is hard to believe there are none within a 500-mile radius.
