This weeks Mayor’s Corner is a continuation from last week. If you are already working with Josh, Sam K. and Sara, this is for you.
Final details are in progress. But, generally, before any distribution of match-money is made available for a project, both entities (meaning the applicable Town Council and the appropriate Mon-Forest Towns Partnership project representatives), will have to be in agreement. Meaning the project had been identified and fits the definition of advancing the community’s goal.
A project having been identified is still only part-way. Does the project make sense and is it doable? If so, is there a Grant opportunity that fits such a project.
Here is where having “Match-Funding” in hand makes all the difference. More often than not, grant applications have a tight window for responding. The up-front funds will be used as match-funds for these Grant Opportunities, which is often an obstacle for completing grant applications.
Making a project doable includes developing small Action-Steps.
See it Big – Keep it Simple.
