The rain stopped, and the town of Marlinton was transformed into a Christmas village Friday evening for the annual Christmas Parade. Floats were decorated with whimsical elves, angels and even the Grinch. Winners in the parade received monetary awards provided by Mitchell Chevrolet. The winners were, clockwise from above left: first place, Pocahontas County Health Department; second place, Marlinton Presbyterian Church; and third place, Pocahontas County High School Golf Team.
