Marion Grace Hawke, age 77, of Buckeye, passed away Sunday, June 8, 2014, at Pocahontas Memorial Hospital in Buckeye.
Born February 12, 1937, in Washington, D.C., she was a daughter of the late Morton Zophar and Grace Elizabeth Hunt.
Marion was a mother of four, and enjoyed being part of the Pocahontas County Senior Citizens. She worked for the University of Maryland as a key punch operator, and entered data for Arbitron.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Thomas Philip Hawke.
She is survived by three daughters, Valerie Sue Demas, of Hanover, Pennsylvania, Karin Lee Hawke, of Laurel, Maryland, and Connie Marie Owens, of Gwynn Oak, Maryland; six grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; a sister, Katherine Jean Robbins, of Arlington, Texas; and a brother, Morton Zophar, Jr., of Hagerstown, Maryland.
A small gathering was held June 11 at the Hillsboro Senior Center.
The body will be interned at Fort Lincoln Cemetery in Bladensburg, Maryland.
