Our community took the 100-mile challenge and turned it into 140 miles for a more beautiful place.
A sincere “thank you” to everyone who participated in making Pocahontas County Shine Brighter, making our scenic roads more beautiful and improving our quality of life.

An estimated 300 volunteers cleaned 140 miles of roadway, gathering up 1,400 bags of trash.
This roadside clean up campaign, funded by the Pocahontas County Convention and Visitors Bureau and the Pocahontas County Commission, contributed $14,000 to our local community.
We appreciate the support and help from the Pocahontas County Department of Highways and the West Virginia Department of Environmental Protection, and the generous partnerships from Allegheny Disposal and Glades Building Supply.
