According to Magistrate Court records, the following individuals had activity in their cases:

In Magistrate Cynthia Broce-Kelley’s court:

Michelle H. Blevins, 43, of Beckley, pleaded no contest September 24 to a charge of possession of an open alcoholic beverage container in passenger area of motor vehicle on public highway. She was assessed $215.25 in court costs and fines.

Matthew Clayton Rush, 26, of Arlington, Tennessee, pleaded guilty September 25 to charges of accident involving damage to vehicle and failure to provide written report of accident. He was assessed $370.50 in court costs and fines.

Aaron T. Sharp, 25, of Marlinton, pleaded no contest September 13 to a charge of speeding. He was assessed $170.25 in court costs and fines.

Clayton R. Shinaberry, 18, of Dunmore, pleaded no contest September 11 to charges of killing deer in closed season and possession of wildlife. He was assessed $570.50 in court costs and fines.

Randall Wayne Thompson, 28, of Hillsboro, pleaded no contest September 11 to a charge of knowingly or intentionally possessing a controlled substance without a valid prescription. He was assessed $265.25 in court costs and fines.

Richard Hess, 80, of Charleston, pleaded guilty October 12 to a charge of passing in a no passing zone. He was assessed $185.25 in court costs and fines.

Rodney Dwayne Mallow, 30, of Bartow, pleaded guilty October 12 to charges of hunting from a vehicle, out of season hunting, possession of wildlife and possessing a loaded gun/crossbow in vehicle during prohibited hours. He was assessed $981 in court costs and fines.

Douglas P. Vandevender, 57, of Bartow, pleaded guilty October 10 to a charge of consumption of an alcoholic beverage in passenger area of motor vehicle on a public highway. He was assessed $215.25 in court costs and fines.

In Magistrate Carrie Wilfong’s court:

Donald R. Hoke, Jr., 58, of Hillsboro, pleaded no contest October 5 to a charge no registration and no vehicle insurance. He was assessed $380.50 in court costs and fines.

Betty Jean McMillion, 26, of Hillsboro, pleaded guilty September 13 to charges of failure to maintain control and no vehicle insurance. She was also found guilty September 21 of charges of accident involving damage to a vehicle and failure to immediately report accident. She was assessed $931 in court costs and fines.

Patricia Ann Rose, 54, of Hillsboro, was found guilty October 11 of a charge of openly dumping. She was assessed $265.25 in court costs and fines.

Cierra Nicole Gibson, 18, of Marlinton, was placed on six months unsupervised probation for a charge of knowingly or intentionally possessing a controlled substance without a valid prescription. She was assessed $165.25 in court costs and fines.

Harley D. Snuffer, 60, of Crab Orchard, pleaded no contest October 4 to a charge of UTV on prohibited forest service road. He was assessed $185.25 in court costs and fines.

Miranda Dawn Vandevender, 38, of Bartow, pleaded no contest October 9 to a charge of hunting from a motor vehicle. She was assessed $185.25 in court costs and fines.

Thomas Lee Vandevender, 38, of Bartow, pleaded no contest October 9 to a charge of possessing a loaded gun/ crossbow in vehicle during prohibited hours. He was assessed $185.25 in court costs and fines.

Kenneth Henry Varner, 54, of Durbin, pleaded guilty October 9 to a charge of openly dumping. He was assessed $265.25 in court costs and fines.
