Dear Pocahontas Times:
I would like to make a correction to Suzanne Stewart’s article that she wrote in your paper called “BFD / Cass dispute put to rest.”
In her article she had wrote: “When the dispute became public, many members of the community were angered because they make annual donations to the Cass department and saw the building as a waste of money.”
Well that comment sounds very misleading from the real truth in my opinion.
Several of us went around the area that would have been served by the new building’s location, primarily the Dunmore area, and received overwhelming support from the community with our intentions to build the new substation and to place an ambulance and fire truck there. I have over 280 signatures in support of the new building’s location to prove it.
Thank You,
John Rebinski
