Green Bank experienced another long power outage Sunday, December 29.
How many this fall and winter now? Tired of keeping count.
Earlier in December, my house and others had frozen pipes due to an outage.
I recall after the derecho in 2012, when I was a commissioner, Mon Power came to us to explain steps they were taking to improve the power grid in our county to prevent the frequent outages we were experiencing around that time. Seems it worked well after that. But now every time there’s rainy, windy weather, we have problems. I think it’s time the Pocahontas County Commission once again invites Mon Power to come and explain what’s going on.
