Larry Allen Cook, age 78, of Marlinton, passed away on Thursday, July 24, 2025.

Born August 21, 1946, in Cass, he was a son of the late Luke and Olive Cook.

Larry worked in Virginia and Georgia for many years before returning to West Virginia, where he enjoyed time with family and friends.

He was a dedicated worker and was known for his strong work ethic. He had a special way of showing love – always picking and teasing those he cared about, leaving everyone around him smiling. He cherished visiting with loved ones, and spending time with family was always what mattered most.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Roger Cook.

He is survived by his daughters, Lori Kidd (Kenneth) and Samantha Madison (Samuel); grandchildren, Jessica Gladwell, Matthew Kidd (Casey), Austin Pritt, Kimberly Robinson (Quinten), Erin Martin (David), and Alivia Lawson (Wade); a bundle of great-grandchildren who brought him so much joy; and siblings, Mary Ellen Prater, Monroe Cook and Estelle Flawd.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date.

As per his wishes, the body was cremated.
