Kevin Reed McCoy, age 46, of Hillsboro, passed away Friday, November 24, 2017, at his home.
Born June 18, 1971, he was a son of the late Ronnie Dean and Evelyn May Roberts.
Kevin was a lifetime resident of Droop Mountain, where he was raised by his maternal grandmother, the late Verda McCoy Williams, alongside his cousin, Brenda McCoy. He worked many years as a skidder operator for J&E Logging.
He is survived by daughters, Clarissa McCoy, of Morgantown, Isabella Wilson, of Richmond, Virginia, and Addison Pritt, of Marlinton; a son, Dakota Nelson, of Madison; step-father, Jerry Roberts, of Renick; half-brother, Jason Roberts, of Renick; step-sister, Teresa Hamner, of Georgia; step-brothers, Stuart Roberts, Patrick Roberts and Michael Roberts, all of Renick; aunt, Pat Clutter, of Renick; uncles, Charles McCoy, of Droop, and Bruce McCoy, of Hillsboro; and many loving nieces, nephews and cousins.
A memorial service was held December 3 at Mt.Herman United Methodist Church with Pastor Lee William officiating.
