Keith Zane Morrison, age 83, of Roanoke, Virginia, passed away Monday, August 7, 2017, at his home.
Keith was a son of the late Taylor and Anna Mary Morrison.
He attended Marlinton High School and West Virginia Tech. After serving in the United States Army, he taught industrial arts until 1994. He spent most of his career at Cave Spring High School in Roanoke, Virginia.
Keith married Joyce Crawford August 18, 1962, they were happily married until her death in 1992.
He was a devoted husband and father, and a kind and generous friend. He loved pouring his energy into thousands of students over his decades-long career.
He spent his life loving those around him, by meeting every need he possibly could. He will be greatly missed.
In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by a brother, Fred Morrison; and two sisters, Faye Morrison Gaylor and Mescal Morrison Broyles.
He is survived by his daughter, Teri Kinder, and husband, Oliver, of Fairfax, Virginia; grandchildren, Sarah Kinder, Rachel Kinder and Elizabeth Kinder, all of Fairfax, Virginia, and Josef Kinder, of Rogers, Arkansas; a brother, Jack Morrison, and wife, Rosalee, of Buckeye; nieces and nephews, Douglas Morrison, Arlene Morrison Armstrong and Kenneth Morrison, all of Buckeye, David Morrison, of Marlinton, Tim Gaylor and Todd Gaylor, both of Navarre, Ohio, and Jane Broyles, of Frankfort; and his friend, Bettye Caroline Via, of Roanoke, Virginia.
Funeral service was held August 12 at Oakey’s South Chapel in Roanoke, Virginia. Interment was in Sherwood Memorial Park in Salem, Virginia.
