Joyce J. Stanley, age 88, of Martinsburg, passed away Saturday, November 28, 2015, at Berkeley Medical Center.
Born November 27, 1927, at Beard, she was a daughter of the late Alva H. and Nora McCoy Jackson.
Joyce was employed by the Berkley County Board of Education as a teacher’s aide. Additionally she was a member of the Otterbein United Methodist Church and the Eastern Star Rebecca Lodge.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Floyd Gene Stanley, Sr.; a son, Floyd G. Stanley, Jr.; a brother, Keith Buchanan; and two sisters, Freda Hollandsworth and Lucille Arbogast.
She is survived by two nephews, Gary Hollands-worth and Joe Hollands-worth; a brother, Nixon Jackson, of Mt. Hope; a sister, Helen Wilfong, of Dunmore; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral service was December 1 at Otterbein United Methodist Church with The Rev. Mark Mooney officiating. Graveside service will be held December 2, 2 p.m. at Oak Grove Cemetery in Hillsboro with Lloyd Arbogast officiating.
