Jason Cordell Smith, age 44, of Durbin, passed from this life Thursday, May 7, 2020, at Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown, following a courageous battle with lung cancer.
Born January 7, 1976, in Ravenna, Ohio, he was a son of Ruth Ferrell, of Roanoke, Virginia, and the late Michael Smith.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by his step-father, William Ferrell; a brother, Joshua Smith, of Bartow; a nephew, Tiler Smith; a son, Cordell; two daughters, Cassidy Long and Shan Snelson; his companion, Jessica Snelson; and many nieces and nephews.
Per his request, the body was cremated. A graveside service will be held at a later date.
