James A. “Jim” Gragg, 74, of Durbin, passed away Sunday, August 17, 2025, at WV Caring in Elkins.

Born December 28, 1950, he was a son of the late Paul Donald and Hallie Virginia Gragg.

Jim was a US Navy Veteran and retired after 33 years of service at Huttonsville Correctional Center where he had many friends.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Patrick Andrew; sisters, Carolyn (Tom) Coontz and Dorothy Denning; and a brother, Gary Gragg.

He is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Donna; son, Jamie (Hannah) Gragg, of Marlinton; mother-in-law Hilda Brock, of Durbin; brothers, Billy (Cathy) Gragg, Dick Gragg and Tony Gragg, all of Ravenna, Ohio; sisters, Sandy (Ron) Dixon, of Colombia, Maryland, Cathy Thornton and Debra Holbrook, both of Ravenna, Ohio; sisters-in-law, Jean Craig, of Colombia, South Carolina, Diana Arbogast, of Bartow, and Teresa (DeWayne) Rhea, of Marlinton; brothers-in-law, Larry (Donna) Sheets, of Manassas, Virginia, and Tom (Candy) Sheets, of Front Royal, Virginia; and many, many nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held 2 p.m. Saturday, August 23, 2025, at Wallace and Wallace Funeral Home in Arbovale.

The family will receive friends from noon until time of service.

His wish for cremation was followed.
