Born and raised in Hillsboro, he was a son of the late Henry Paul Scott and Shirley Louise Scott.

He shared his home with his sister/caretaker Karen and caretakers Sara Campbell and Cody Tucker. Henry was a loving father, proud grandfather, and a man whose life was defined by service, hard work and a deep love for the outdoors.

He dedicated many years of his life to his work as a skilled welder and as a lifetime member of the Ronceverte Fire Department, serving his community with courage and commitment. He found joy in hunting, fishing and sharing those passions with family and friends. He will be remembered for his strength, his humor and his willingness to lend a helping hand to anyone in need.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers-in-law, Jody Campbell and William “Darrell” Miller.

He is survived by his children, Cody Scott (Jessica Weis), Kayla Scott (Dustin Sturdivant), Logan Scott (Savannah Scott), and Jacob Scott; beloved grandchildren, Axton Scott, Dustin Sturdivant Jr., Kasen Sturdivant, Adessa Sturdivant, Lennox Scott and Aella Scott; sisters, Karen Campbell, Susan Scott and Ellen Miller; brothers, Gary Scott and Doug Scott; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, August 30, 2025, at Wallace and Wallace Funeral Home in Lewisburg, with Pastor Dave Curfiss officiating. Burial will follow at the Emmanuel Cemetery at Lobelia.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 11:30 a.m. until time of service.

In lieu of flowers, donations of sympathy may be made to Ronceverte Volunteer Fire Department, P. O. Box 35 Ronceverte WV 24970.
