Hazel Ruth Grimes, age 95, of Staunton, Virginia, passed away Tuesday, March 17, 2015, at Blue Ridge Christian Home in Raphine, Virginia.
Born February 4, 1920, at Arbovale, she was a daughter of the late George Arthur and Macie Botkin Brown.
Hazel was a homemaker. She was of the Methodist faith and a member of the Order of the Eastern Star of Cass.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Mulvie Spinks Grimes.
She is survived by her children, Mary Ellen Patteson, of Verona, Virginia, Dollie Wilfong, of Weyers Cave, Virginia, Anna Lee Swiggett, of Mint Springs, Virginia, Mulvie William Grimes, of West Virginia, and Thomas W. Grimes, of Green Bank; and several grandchildren.
Graveside service will be held Thursday, March 19, 11 a.m. in the Arbovale Cemetery with Pastor David Rittenhouse officiating.
