Harry Lee “Tuck” Thomas, age 95, of Marlinton, passed away Thursday, October 4, 2018, at his home.
Born August 12, 1932, at Buckeye, he was a son of the late Guy Ulysses and Effie Opal Weiford Thomas.
Tuck was a Veteran, having served in the United States Army during World War II. He worked for the U.S. Forest Service as a heavy equipment operator, retiring in 1985.
On July 25, 1948, he married Dorothy Louise Smith, who survives.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Alfred Thomas and James Harold Thomas; and a sister, Gladys Moore.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by a daughter, Ellen Galford, of Marlinton; a sister, Maxine Harper, of Marlinton; and a grandson, Joseph Donald Galford.
Graveside service was held October 5 in Mountain View Cemetery in Marlinton with Pastor Fred Goldizen officiating.
