Harold Eugene “Jim” Cutlip, age 86, of Buckeye, passed away Sunday, October 25, 2020, at home.
Born January 20, 1934, at Marlinton, he was a son of the late Leonard Francis Cutlip Sr. and Nora Belle Weatherholt Cutlip.
Jim was a 1952 graduate of Marlinton High School. He was married on July 3, 1953 to Dottie Lue Biggs Cutlip. He served in the Korean Conflict from 1955 to 1957. Jim worked at the International Shoe Co., “Marlinton Tannery,” until its closure in 1970. He was a retired carpenter, avid hunter and fisherman, and had a passion for gardening.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers, Leonard “Sonny” Cutlip Jr., Clarence “Bubbles” Cutlip, Charles “Bud” Cutlip, Donald “Don” Cutlip, and Tommy Cutlip.
In addition to his wife of 67 years, he is survived by three children, Rebecca “Becky” Cutlip Lemon, and husband, George, James “Jimmie” Cutlip, and wife, Delores, and Doug Cutlip, and wife, Melinda; one sister, Helen “Sis” Cutlip Irvine; six grandchildren, Brian Hall, and wife, Stephanie, Sara Hall Robards, and husband, Christopher, Dustin Cutlip, and wife, Megan, Gabrielle Cutlip, Haley Cutlip and Dylan Cutlip; and five great-grandchildren.
Family will receive friends Thursday, October 29, 2020, from 6 to 8 p.m. at VanReenen Funeral Home in Marlinton.
Funeral service will be held Friday, October 30, 2020, at 2 p.m. at VanReenen Funeral Home with Pastor Sam Felton officiating.
Interment will be in Mountain View Cemetery in Marlinton.
