GVEDC and Pocahontas Chamber to host Small Business Resource Fair

Greenbrier Valley Economic Development Corporation (EDC) and the Pocahontas County Chamber of Commerce will host a Small Business Resource Roundup Thursday, April 10, from 4 to 7 p.m. at Rivertown Café in Marlinton. 

The open house style event is free and open to the public, offering entrepreneurs, small business owners and community members a chance to explore valuable business resources available in the Greenbrier Valley. 

“Both the EDC and the Chamber are committed to supporting local businesses,” said Ruthana Beezley, Executive Director of the Greenbrier Valley EDC. “We wanted to bring together businesses and the many resources available to them in one place. We want to showcase our partners and the many resources available for businesses and entrepreneurs in Pocahontas County.”

Attendees will have the opportunity to meet local, regional, and state resource partners including:

• Greenbrier Valley EDC 

• Pocahontas County Chamber of Commerce 

• WV Small Business Development Center 

• Partner Community Capital 

• WV Hive Network 

• WV Women’s Business Center 

• Region 1 Workforce Development Board 

• WV Department of Agriculture 

• Woodlands Development & Lending 

• Jobs and Hope WV 

• WVSOM Center for Rural and Community Health

Resource partners offer a variety of services for businesses looking to start or expand in our region, including business planning and coaching, providing financing through loans or grants, training events, workforce programs, technical assistance funds and more.
