Gerald Paul Simmons, age 68, of Craigsville, died Tuesday, June 14, 2016, at Charleston Area Medical Center Memorial Division in Charleston.
Born July 8, 1947, at Jacox, he was a son of Paul M. Simmons, and the late Nila F. Brown Simmons.
Gerald was a retired coal miner. He was a member of the Alderson Baptist Church in Craigsville.
In addition to his father, he is survived by his wife, Barbara J. Switzer Simmons; a daughter, Sheri Lynn Johnson, of Craigsville; a son, G.P. Simmons, Jr., and wife, Jennifer, of Jacox; five grandchildren, Corey Simmons, Brady Simmons, Ashia Johnson, Jaiden Johnson and Ethan Johnson; and two great-grandchildren, Isabelle Simmons and Fiona Simmons.
