Gavin Allen Thompson, age 38, of Monticello, Kentucky, passed away Monday, April 21, 2014, at the Wayne County Hospital.
Born March 28, 1976, in Rowan County, he is the son of Pamela Caskey Workman, and husband, Kevin, of Lewisburg, and Greg Thompson, and wife, Barbara, of Morehead, Kentucky.
He was preceded in death by maternal grandparents, Emmitt and Opal Little Caskey; and paternal grandfather, William Allen Thompson.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by his fiancée, Shana Lee Cummings, of Monticello, Kentucky; six brothers, Andrew Workman of Huntington, Daniel Workman and Hunter Workman, both of Glenwood Springs, Colorado, John Thompson, of Morehead, Kentucky, Tyler Thompson Drake, of Florida, and Jeremy Armstrong, of Morehead, Kentucky; paternal grandmother, Aileen Thompson, of Morehead, Kentucky; three nieces, Aubree Thompson and Harper and Rider Thompson Drake; and other extended family and friends.
Funeral service was April 26 at the Clearfield Tabernacle First Church of God with the Rev. Jeff Fannin officiating. Burial was in Brown Cemetery.
