Dorothy Lynn Simkins, age 71, of Marlinton, passed away Friday, May 30, 2014, at her home.
Born January 30, 1943, at Nitro, she was a daughter of the late Arthur L. and Berth Nell Lytton French.
Dorothy was a homemaker and loved Girl Scouts, and served as a Girl Scout leader for many years.
She is survived by her husband, Thomas Simkins; a daughter, Janelle L. VanReenen, and husband, Dennis, of Asheville, North Carolina; sons, Ward C. Eister, and wife, Paula, of Charleston, and Robert T. Eister, and wife, Racheal Kong, of San Jose, California; and two grandchildren, Chole Eister and Grayden Eister.
In keeping with her wishes, the body was cremated and a celebration of life was held June 1 at Stillwell Park in Marlinton.
