Dorothy Lee “Dot” Clutter, age 86, of Marlinton, died Wednesday, November 6, 2013, at her home.
Born October 1, 1927, at Marlinton, she was a daughter of the late Dennis and Emma Delaney Waugh.
Dot had been store manager at Dollar General in Marlinton until her retirement. She was a member of the Marlinton United Methodist Church and also attended the Marlinton Presbyterian Church. She was a member of the “HENS,” a group of women who meet every Thursday evening for dinner.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas D. Clutter; and a sister, Virginia Waugh.
She is survived by her son, Thomas Clutter, of Metairie, Louisiana; granddaughter, Mason Clutter, of Washington, D.C.; grandson, Thomas Clutter, of Mobile, Alabama; great-grandson, Thomas Clutter, of Mobile, Alabama; and a daughter-in-law, Deborah Clark, of Florida.
Family will receive friends Saturday, November 16, from noon to 2 p.m. at Kimble Funeral Home in Marlinton. Graveside service will follow at 2 p.m. at Mountain View Cemetery.
