David Gayle Buzzard, age 75, of Glendale, Arizona, died August 5, 2014, at the Life Care Center in North Glendale, Arizona.
Born May 25, 1939, at Minnehaha Springs, he was a son of the late Jarrett “Jack” and Virginia Buzzard.
After serving four years in the United States Air Force, he went to work for Rockwell International at Titusville, Florida, on the Apollo Space program until it ended. He was transferred to California where he was Electronics Manager on the B-1 Bomber. After 34 years, he retired from Rockwell at the age of 55. He loved returning home for Pioneer Days, where he would catch up with family and friends.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Keith Buzzard; a sister, Anne Douglas; and a brother, Stephen Buzzard.
He is survived by a son, Kevin Buzzard, and wife, Christine, of Little Rock, California; a daughter, Kimberly Jones, and husband, Jon, of Bishop, California; a sister, Joyce Mullens, and husband, Freddie Hannah, of Marlinton; five grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Service will be held at a later date in Little Rock, California. His ashes will be returned to West Virginia.
