Dalton “Pockets” James Hamilton, age 70, passed away Monday, September 24, 2018, at the United Health Center in Clarksburg.
Born December 31, 1947, at Marlinton, he was a son of the late Roy and Mary Gaylor Hamilton.
Pockets was a self-employed logger.
In addtion to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Donna Lou Hamilton; and three brothers, Charles, Allen and Marshall Hamilton.
He is survived by his wife, Kathy Morgan Hamilton; a daughter, Jayme Lynn Hamilton, of Delbarton; two step-sons, Jason Robert Crabaugh, of Lewisburg, and Christopher Seth Dingess, of Stanley, North Carolina; and grandchildren; two sisters, Marilee Long, of Beaver Creek, and Dottie Gehan, of Fairfax, Virginia; brothers, Marvin, Ralph, Alvin “Shorty,” Johnny and Randy Hamilton, all of Beaver Creek.
In keeping with his wishes, the body will be cremated.
Memorial service will be held Friday, September 28, 1 p.m. at Beaver Creek Cemetery Chapel with Daniel Solliday officiating.
