Clarence Randolph “Bubbles” Cutlip, age 87, of Marlinton, passed away Monday, April 15, 2019, at Pocahontas Memorial Hospital in Buckeye.
Born May 11, 1931, at Marlinton, he was a son of the late Leonard and Nora Belle Weatherholt Cutlip.
Bubbles was a Marine Veteran of the Korean Conflict, a Methodist by faith, worked as a carpenter for the late Johnnie Sharp and Daniels Construction and was a farmer.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers, Tommy Cutlip, Leonard “Sonny” Cutlip, and Charles “Bud” Cutlip; and son-in-law, Robert “Bob” Goldizen.
He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Joan Wilfong Cutlip; daughters, Karen Goldizen and Barbara Williams; sons, Barry “Dick” Cutlip, Randolph “Frank” Cutlip, and wife, Vicky, and Terry Cutlip, and wife, Regina, all of Marlinton; a sister, Helen Irvine, of Marlinton; brothers, Harold “Jim” Cutlip, and wife Dot, of Buckeye, and Don Cutlip, and wife, Ruth, of Fredericksburg, Virginia; 11 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.
Funeral service will be held Friday, April 19, 1 p.m. at Lantz Funeral Home in Buckeye with Pastor Fred Goldizen officiating. Interment will be in Wilfong Cemetery with graveside Military Rites. Family will receive friends from noon until time of service.
