Charles Edward “Eddie” Carr, age 61, of Marlinton, died Friday, August 1, 2014, at University of Virginia Hospital in Charlottesville, Virginia.
Born October 3, 1952, at Marlinton, he was a son of the late Charles C. and Frances Geraldine Biggs Carr.
Eddie had been employed by C. J. Richardson Hardware until he became disabled.
He is survived by his daughters, Shonda F. Carr, Shanna F. Carr and Stephanie R. Long, all of Marlinton, and Echo E. Carr, of Charleston; sisters, Karen Wyatt, of Huntington, Janice Gibson, of Buckeye, and Brenda Carr, of Marlinton; a brother, Martin “Marty” Carr, of Marlinton; and five grandchildren.
Funeral service was August 5 at VanReenen Funeral Home with Pastor Sam Felton officiating. Interment was in Mountain View Cemetery in Marlinton.
