Calvin Curtis Galford, age 90, of Dunmore, went to rejoin his loved ones in Heaven Saturday, August 2, 2025.

Born July 16, 1935, in Dunmore, he was a son of the late Mabel Elizabeth Dilley and the late June Robert Galford.

He was a Green Bank High School graduate, Class of 1955, and was of the Methodist faith. He was a machine operator for Interstate Hardwoods for 29 years and then an auto body technician for Percy’s and Galford’s Auto Body Shop.

He married Nellie Rose Arbogast August 11, 1960 and was ready to celebrate their 65th anniversary.

They had four children, Debra Rose, Ricky Curtis, Joey Shannon and Douglas Wayne (Stacy); three grandchildren, KimShea Galford, Amanda Ryder (Jake) and Megan Rexrode (Coty); three step grandchildren, Jarrett Gum (Jessalyn), Daniel Gum (Kristen) and Miranda Gum; five great-grandchildren, Shayln, Curtis, Darren, Warren and Marcellynn; and three step great-grandchildren, Eric, Aleah and Elias.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Debra Rose; and son, Ricky Curtis.

Calvin loved NASCAR, camping and watching wildlife. He loved antique cars and going to see them. He and Nellie loved to travel. They would go to Florida to visit friends.

Funeral service was held Tuesday, August 5, 2025, at Wallace and Wallace Funeral Home in Arbovale with Pastor David Rittenhouse officiating. Graveside service was at Arbovale Cemetery.
