Brent Allen “Luke” Lucabaugh, 54, of Hillsboro, passed away Tuesday, February 4, 2025, at Genesis Healthcare in White Sulphur Springs after an extended battle with cancer.
Born February 28, 1970, in York, Pennsylvania, he was a son of the late George C. and Bernice Walker Lucabaugh.
Brent graduated from Pocahontas County High School in 1988. After graduation, he attended Bluefield State Community College and worked at Droop Mountain State Park. After college, he was an accounting tech for Denmar Correctional Center for nearly 20 years. Brent had a love for fishing, hunting and racing.
He is survived by his daughter, Kristi Dinkins (Gage), of Hillsboro; grandson, William; brother, Nevin (Carol), of Hillsboro; neph-ews, Jarett and Waylon; and niece, Catherine.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
In keeping with his wishes, the body was cremated.
