Barbara Ann “Barb” Beverage Dilley was born November 15,1958 and raised on her family farm, Sunrise Farm, in Clover Lick, passed away on January 28, 2025, in Buckhannon. She passed, surrounded by family and under the care of WVU Hospice, after a short battle with an aggressive form of meta-static melanoma cancer.
Barb was a homemaker who spent her time caring for her family and working on the family farm with her father. She had spent the last several years babysitting and helping to raise her grandchildren. She loved to sew, read, play cards (Clean Hands, Dirty Feet) and do cross stitch. She loved going to the beach to sit in the sand to read and walk in the water. She enjoyed making maple syrup on her family farm every winter and making hay in the summer. Barb was active in her daughters’ activities and frequently chaperoned school and club trips, made baked goods for fund-raisers and volunteered her time at school and 4-H functions. She also supported her grandchildren by attending their sporting events and school functions. She enjoyed traveling with her husband to see friends, and their day trip car rides and vacations with her grandchildren.
She is survived by her husband of 44 years, Jim; daughters, Rebecca and Abby; sons-in-law, Chad Marsh and Levi Bender; and her beloved grandchildren, Makenna, Bael and Kai, all of Buckhannon; parents, Richard and Jane Beverage; brother, Danny, and sister-in-law, Cheryl; and nieces and nephew, Kelsey, Cole (Whitney, Charlie and Harper) and Katelynn Beverage, all of Clover Lick.
Per her request, the body will be cremated.
A celebration of life will be held Sunday, February 16, 2025, from 1 to 3 p.m. at the Community Wellness Center in Marlinton.
Barb became involved in 4-H through her daughters. She helped with meetings and activities, chaperoned at State Dance Camp and helped with meals at county camp and was part of the Big Foot Tribe.
