Barbara Jackson Campbell, 83, of Marlinton, went to her heavenly home Tuesday, August 19, 2025, at her home. Born September 2, 1941, in Marlinton, she was a daughter of the late Hugh and Lucy Smith Jackson.

Barbara was Valedictorian and President of Marlinton High School Class of 1959 and has organized class reunions each year since graduating.

She was a member, Sunday School teacher, Christmas Pageant director, and sang in the choir at Central Union Methodist Church on Brush Country Road. She worked as a bank teller, assistant cashier and a loan officer for the Bank of Mar- linton, now First Citizens Bank, for 33 years.

Being a breast cancer survivor, Barbara was an Advocate for Breast Cancer Awareness and helped start the Pocahontas County Re-lay for Life.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 63 years, Tommy Campbell; sister, Phyllis Jackson; and brothers, Hugh Jackson Jr. and Robert Jackson.

She is survived by two daughters, Cheryl Cain, and husband, Danny, and Connie Burns, and husband, Mike, all of Marlinton; grandchildren, Shawn Cain, Danielle Cain-Rainey, and husband, Chris, Brandon Burns and Amanda Burns; great-grandchildren, Carter, Griffin and Avery; sister, Dolores Turner, and husband, Robert, of Clifton Forge, Virginia; brother, Steve Jackson, and wife, Bonita, of Wardensville; sisters-in-law, Freda Jackson, Millicent Withers and Sharol Campbell; brother-in-law, Clyde Campbell; and many nieces and nephews

Funeral service was held Saturday, August 23, 2025, at Central Union Methodist Church on Brush Country Road with Pastors Carmen LaRue and David Lee officiating. Burial was in Fairview Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers donations of sympathy may be made to the Central Union Methodist Church, 2978 Brush County Road, Marlinton, WV 24954.
