Agnes K. Simmons, 100, of Lewisburg, passed away Sunday, December 8, 2024, at Seasons Place.
Born June 21, 1924, in Spice (Droop Mountain), she was a daughter of the late Wallace Preston and Nannie Mary McCoy Kershner.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Elmer H. Simmons; son, James Simmons; brothers, Sterling, Bland, Wallace, Clyde, Roy and John Kershner; and sisters, Verdie May, Grace Stangeland, Zeda Dower and Hazel Cochran.
She is survived by a host of nieces and nephews.
Graveside service will be held Monday, December 16, 2024, at 1 p.m. at Oak Grove Cemetery in Hillsboro with Pastor Tim Scott officiating.
There will be no visitation.
