Linda Carpenter Burgess, of Fort Olgethorpe, Georgia, formerly of Buckeye, collected these Miss Tastee Freeze dolls from the Tastee Freeze in Marlinton prior to 1957, when her family moved to Ohio.
Linda said customers received a card and the card was punched once for each purchase of ice cream. A fully punched card resulted in a free doll.
Owners of the Tastee Freeze back in the day, were Neal Kellison; Paul and Ida Lou Hensil; Jesse and Wanda Eye; Chester and Lola Vanscoy; and BJ Johnson.
The business was reopened last year as Dari-Land. S. Stewart photo
