WEST VIRGINIA SECRETARY of State Mac Warner visited with the current staff at The Pocahontas Times Tuesday and presented a plaque in recognition of the newspaper’s more than 100 years in business. The plaque reads: “This Certificate is to Recognize The Pocahontas Times, Founded May 10, 1883 in Pocahontas County, West Virginia As a Charter Member of the West Virginia Centurion Chamber of Commerce. Awarded Exclusively by the Office of the West Virginia Secretary of State to Licensed and Registered Businesses in the State Which Have Been in Continuous Operation for More Than 100 Years.
