Achievement Night and Officers Training
All 4-Hers, leaders and families are invited to this year’s 4-H Achievement Night and Officers Training School which will be held at Pocahontas County High School Wednesday, September 30. Pizza will be served in the PCHS cafeteria at 6 p.m., with the 4-H clubs supplying beverages and healthy snacks. Officers Training School and a Leaders Association Meeting will begin at 6:30 p.m., followed by Achievement Night. There will also be activities and classes for 4-Hers who are not officers, and a 4-H project book expo for parents.
Diabetic Cooking School
Register today for this year’s “Dining with Diabetes” cooking school, which will be held in the Oak Grove Presbyterian Church Mondays, October 12, 19, 26, and November 2 from 5:30-7:30 p.m. and a three-month follow-up class in January. This free program is intended for people of all ages who have diabetes, their family members, caretakers or anyone who cooks for a diabetic. Participants must commit to all five nights of the school.
