According to a press release from the Pocahontas County Sheriff’s Department, Charles C. Alexander, of Arbovale, was found deceased at his residence Tuesday morning, August 25, of a self-inflicted gunshot wound. The body was found at approximately 10:15 a.m. as a result of a neighbor’s report of a house fire at the Alexander residence. Alexander was employed as a process server and court bailiff for the Pocahontas County Sheriff’s Department. Alexander is survived by his wife and three children. The State Fire Marshal and the West Virginia State Police are investigating the case.
