The Town of Marlinton is in the process of obtaining the services of a consulting engineer in regard to various recreational projects throughout the community including, but not limited to, trailheads, trails and other recreational-based endeavors, which may be pursued in multiple phases.
The Request for Professional services advertisement has already been posted and proposals were received until July 9.
A total of eight engineering firms submitted proposals. Now, a prescreening of the eight firms will take place and the select committee will plan to set up interviews with three or four of the firms, before a recommendation is made to the full council.
