Debra Lou Roy, 68, of Marlinton, passed away Friday, April 19, 2024, at Pocahontas Center in Marlinton.
Born August 4, 1955, in Marlinton, she was a daughter of Evelyn Frances Jackson Sparks and the late David Wayne Sparks Sr.
Debbie was a member of the Marlinton Church of the Nazarene, and a homemaker.
In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her husband, John Eston Roy; and a brother Paul Sparks.
Debbie is survived by a daughter, Susan Ray, and husband, Jason, of Arbovale; grandchildren, Madeline Ray and Brayden Ray; sister, Eleanor and Oran Nelson, of Morgantown; brothers, John Sparks, and wife, Margie, of Arbovale, David Sparks, and wife, Sandy, of Mt. Morris, Pennsylvania, Willie Sparks, and wife, Sheila, of Morgantown, and Timmy Sparks, and wife, Missi, of Marlinton; sister-in-law, Diana Sparks, of Marlinton; and many nieces and nephews.
In keeping with her wishes, the body will be cremated and there will be no service.
