Elsie Ann Isabell, age 89, of Webster County, passed away Tuesday, April 16, 2024, at Oak Hill Assisted Living in Oak Hill. She is with the Lord in heaven at a big reunion of all her family she has missed for years.
Born March 12, 1935, in Knoxville, Tennessee, she was a daughter of the late Virley “Skinny” and Alma Harmon Isabell.
Elsie was a home economics teacher at Webster County High School. She was a great cook, quilter and crafter. She retired after many years to care for her father and mother until they passed. She was a beloved daughter, sister, aunt to many nieces, nephews and a friend. Elsie was a wonderful woman. Her passing has left a void in the hearts of all who knew her, and she will truly be missed especially by her niece, Marsha.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Virgil “Joe”, Ralph and Frank Isabell; and sisters, Mary Sears, Bonnie Kelley and Alma “Toots” Bucchi.
She is survived by her brother, John Isabell; and many nieces, nephews and extended family members.
She leaves behind cherished memories for all who knew her and anyone she met. She is peacefully resting among the angels.
Funeral service was held Saturday, April 20, 2024, at Adams-Reed Funeral Home in Cowen with Pastor Eddie Green officiating. Burial was in West Virginia Memorial Gardens in Calvin.
