How many shoppers walking from downtown to IGA and Riverside know or remember that the MTA bus is available to carry you to or from banks and stores during the week?

– – –

The Town of Marlinton is committed to addressing abandoned and dilapidated structures to improve the health, safety and welfare of the community and, as such, has identified a number of vacant and dilapidated structures. Some are subject to partial or complete collapse. The Town is currently waiting on the results of recent asbestos testing.

When the test results are in hand, a required Notice to Bid will run in The Pocahontas Times. Parties interested in bidding on removal of these structures should watch for “Notice to Bid” on the legal page in the paper.

Dilapidated structures lower property values and can stymie reinvestment in the community. DEP Grant funding will be used to remove at least 10 houses over the next few months.

It is springtime. Lots of plans are in progress. Save yourself from unnecessary aggravation.

Do not play the blame game.
