Richard W. Elbon, age 56, of Standardsville, Virginia, died Sunday, May 10, 2015.
Born May 5, 1959, he was a loving son of Ben Elbon, of Standardsville, Virginia, and Maxine Elbon, of Upper Marlboro, Maryland.
Richard was a member of Grace Episcopal Church in Standardsville, Virginia.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, William “Pete” and Blanche Cromer Elbon; and maternal step-grandfather, Edward “Max” Daugherty.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by his sister, Katherine Selzer, of Dun-kirk, Maryland; and his grandmother, Katherine Puffenbarger H. Daugherty, of College Park, Maryland.
A celebration of life was June 2 at Grace Episcopal Church in Standardsville, Virginia, and June 4 at the Galesville United Methodist Church in Galesville, Maryland. A private burial was held in Ft. Lincoln Cemetery in Maryland.
