Arlie Benjamin White, age 98, of Marlinton, died Wednesday, April 29, 2015, at Pocahontas Center in Marlinton.
Born July 5, 1916, at Minnehaha, he was a son of the late Benjamin Franklin and Mary Jane Crummett White.
Arlie retired from the Department of Natural Resources as a wildlife manager after 26 years of service. He was a member of the New Hope Lutheran Church.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wives, Lorena Hefner White and Eula Cain White; brothers, Ernest White and Clarence White; sisters, Gladys Moore, Ruth Cotterman, Lucile Pennybacker, Hazel Hanlin and Gertrude Fisher; and two step-sons, Dewey Kelley and Edward L. Kelley.
He is survived by his step-daughter, Shirley Smith, of Petersburg; step-sons, Roy Kelley and Larry “Pete” Hefner, both of Marlinton; companion, Naomi McQuain, and her four daughters; six step-grandchildren; and nine step-great-grandchildren.
Funeral service was May 1 at VanReenen Funeral Home with Revs. Jason Felici and Jess Felici officiating. Interment was in Mountain View Cemetery in Marlinton.
