Jack McCauley, age 95, of Oakland, Maryland, died Sunday, April 19, 2015, at Dennett Road Manor Nursing Home in Oakland, Maryland.
Born March 3, 1920, in Bartow, he was a son of the late Marion W. and Vera I. Greathouse McCauley.
Jack was a United States Navy Veteran, serving during World War II. He was a past Master of the Pythagoras Lodge 128 A.F. & A.M., Parsons, and a member of St. Paul’s United Methodist Church in Oakland, Maryland.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Virginia Clark McCauley; and a sister, Izetta Richmond.
He is survived by two sons, Michael M. McCauley, and wife, Helene, of Mt. Lake Park, Maryland, and Jack C. McCauley, of Hershey, Pennsylvania; a daughter, Pamela A. McCauley, of Morgantown; four grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
The family would like to thank the staff of Dennett Road Manor Nursing Home for the exceptional care they provided for their father. They would also like to thank American Legion Post 71, Oakland and VFW Post 10077, Deer Park, for the service they provided to Jack.
Funeral service was April 22 at Newman Funeral Homes Chapel in Oakland, Maryland, with Pastor George Randall officiating. Interment was in Garrett County Memorial Gardens in Oakland, Maryland.
