Dortha A. Vaughan, 91, of Hillsboro, passed away Wednesday, December 1, 2021, at her home.
Born February 24, 1930, at Spring Creek, she was a daughter of the late Lloyd and Lydia Rose Scott.
Dortha retired as a cook at Denmar State Hospital and was a member of West View Baptist Church.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Mason Henry Vaughan; son, David Vaughan; and brother, Henry Lee Scott.
She is survived by her daughters, Janice Goode and Margaret Gibson; son, Dennis Vaughan; sister, Frances Dilley; three grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
Arrangements were handled by VanReenen Funeral Home in Marlinton.
Funeral service was held Saturday, December 4, 2021, at VanReenen Funeral Home with Pastor Ron Kinzel officiating.
Interment will be at Emmanuel Cemetery in Hillsboro.
