Richard Emory Mullenax, age 86, of Boyer, passed away Thursday, January 22, 2015, at Pocahontas Memorial Hospital, following a long illness.
He was born October 16, 1928, at Boyer, and he spent his entire life there. He was a son of the late Emory K. and Mamie Hoover Mullenax. He was the last surviving member of his family.
Richard attended the Mennonite churches of Boyer and Durbin.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers; three sisters; and his first wife, Crystal Wooddell Mullenax.
He is survived by his wife of eight and a half years, Lucy Murray Rexrode Mullenax; three daughters, Connie Douglas, and husband, Mike, of Frank, Sonya Hess, and husband, Ray, and Kelly Sager, and husband, Mike, all of Winchester, Virginia; a son, Michael Mullenax, of Berkeley Springs; two step-sons, James Rexrode, of Harrisonburg, Virginia, and Gary Rexrode, and wife, Betty Lou, of Woodbridge, Virginia; two step-daughters, Kathy L. Hart, of Boyer, and Becky L. Kipler, and husband, Ken, of Virginia Beach, Virginia; nine grandchildren; and many great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, cousins, nieces and nephews.
